The What's in a Name Series: The Elli Crossbody Bag

I developed the “Elli” because I kept having requests for a smaller crossbody for our customers with tween girls. I named the bag after one of my best friends' daughter, Elli, because she was in that age group at the time and petite, just the size the bag needed to be.

As I was designing, I kept in mind that the bag needed to be small enough for just the essentials: a phone, some keys, an ID, and money, but I also wanted to it to be a good bag that could also fit a passport for travel if needed. I really think the finished product functions in that way perfectly. I also added the front pocket for easy access to a phone.

Now the fun part: style. We offer the Elli in a wide variety of fabrics, ranging from preppy seersuckers to feminine florals, so we are sure to have a passport holder with the designs you love. If you don't see the pattern you like online or in store, we can custom make a bag with your favorite fabric.

The "Elli"  really appeals to many ladies, including the traveler and the teen girls, that don’t want a bag that is bigger than them!

If you are looking for a gift for a college student studying abroad or graduating and is spending the summer backpacking across Europe, the "Elli" is sure to satisfy!  We have had so many women take the bag  on their trips to Europe and come back to tell us how much they love this fun necessity bag. The perfect gift, to me, would be the Elli Crossbody with a passport and tickets to Greece. What a perfect travel package surprise!
